Will Gompertz is a renowned journalist, broadcaster and author. He is best known for his role as the BBC Arts editor and his previous role as the Director of Tate Media. Gompertz has also written extensively for The Guardian and The Times, and is the author of What Are You Looking At? 150 Years of Modern Art in the Blink of an Eye and Think Like an Artist.

Until recently, Will was Artistic Director of the Barbican Centre and is soon to become Director of the Sir John Soane Museum. Joining the Barbican at a pivotal point after the pandemic, he led the organisation through a transition as it refocused its artistic vision to adapt to the future.
